  • Story/Setting: - 15/15
    • This is actually an interesting story.

The game here actually attempts to give meaning to what you're doing, and there's a fair amount of interaction with the NPCs, even the insignificant ones (which can be overlooked in some games). As such I think this game deserves full points in this area.

  • Functionality: - 24/25
    • Aside from the fact I have to press Enter to go places from the overworld map in some cases, and it automatically goes in other places, this game functions very well. I am taking 1 point off for the wierdness there, but I found no bugs or qwirks in the game at all. It's just incomplete content wise, which is to be expected for a short compo game.

  • Graphic Continuity: - 20/25
    • I'm taking away 5 points because your character's look changes as soon as you get to the battle map, and because you fight some street fighter military looking guy in a medieval setting for no apparent reason. However most of the graphics were well placed and were good. I especially like the use of Ogre Battle avatars.

  • Immersion: - 19/20
    • I think this game is fun and interesting. I do want to play more and am a bit surprised at its brevity. The fighting is interesting, though you could use better graphics for that. So I'd say this game is 95% fun. That gives you 19/20. Good job!

  • Rules and Misc: - 14/15
    • This good spirit rule implementation is the best of the compo:

On the same note, every single rule was followed, and well. A screenshot was submitted, spring is more than just "included," and you can perform multiple actions. All the NPCs have names, though there is no name for the street fighter guy. I will only take 1 point off for this category for that. The rest of the rules get full points.

The ending made me laugh.

Not much roaming to do though, since the map ends right there.

All in all this was a very interesting game to play.
