Overall Score: 48

  • Story/Setting: - 8/15
    • The story is sort of loose, but it is there. Since I was fairly generous with other games, I will be fair here and give it 8/15. It is a nice idea but, as with most compo games, has little value in-game because it's just words.

  • Functionality: - 15/25
    • I have to say the game did not do well here. It does not have a very smooth functionality, and the ball will not always move as you expect it to. An example would be a slightly non-right-angle shot. If you do that, it will go up and down or left and right after one bounce. Also the sheer difficulty of this game makes it definitely need better or seperate functionality.

  • Graphic Continuity: - 17/25
    • The graphics suck. :D

However given that it is a tiled game, it does "fit" with the game, so I feel 17/25 is a fair score here, though I can't really think of a quantitative way to measure this field for the game. Do try harder next time SDHawk :D

  • Immersion: - 1/20
    • This game is absolutely the most frustrating thing I've played in a long time. As mentioned above, the ball does not move the way you might expect all the time, and it just doesn't really make me want to play more. The fairest thing to do here is give you a 1/20 for making the effort to make a game with an interesting concept.

  • Rules and Misc: - 7/15
    • The only place anything is mentioned about most of the special rules is in the story. For having green grass, I'm giving you 2 points for spring. You get nothing for the bouncing balls because that's not really a spring. You did post your screenshot, so you get 3 points for that. The spirit reference in the story is... worth 1 point. However, there is no seperate action on any one entity that I have found, so no points there. Finally, 1 point for having names for the different, uh... things, in the game.

The rock, paper, scissors-like rule cracked me up.

However I didn't get much of a chance to test this since the game crashed a couple of times and it's very hard to build things in this game. Better luck next time!
